Kentucky Derby wide brim hat “M’Lissa”. A wonderful, floppy rather irreverent hat hand dyed and decoratively sewn. The swirling, whirling pattern is a bit like sea eddies, or dustdevils. Japanese Toyo straw is hand dyed, hand blocked and stitched. The brim has a flexible wire that gives it that bit of flop without collapsing. This brim is approximately 5.5" wide. As shown: dyed in black/charcoal, the dye varying in intensity. Stitched in white, white cotton brim trim and casual white cotton crown trim. Also available natural off white, light tea stain and dark tea stain. For security, a hat elastic will be sewn on. Instead of a flower trim, a large bow is very elegant. The cotton hatband left hand tied gives a boho vibe.
